Do It Yourself Ideas
Cleaners -
One of the issues that we would like to
address here is that of toxic cleaners that are commonly used in the
home. Parrots' respiratory systems are vastly different from other pets
and need to be considered when choosing cleaning products. It is simply
less expensive and better for your parrot and the environment if you
make these cleaners yourself with non-toxic ingredients.
Remember that these
cleaners are not to be used in direct contact with your parrot or on
your parrot's belongings, they are replacement recipes for household
cleaners. Use the normal precautions when using any of these recipes.

Toys
and Stands - Also, a great way to
enhance your parrot's environment with toys and play stands that are
affordable is to "DO IT YOURSELF" from easily attainable
materials.
Be certain that you use only
parrot-safe materials and be sure to check the list of safe trees below
before starting any projects.
